Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot: A Pictorial Key

PAUL HUSON’S Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot illustrates for the first time the earliest, traditional Tarot card interpretations unadorned by the occult speculations of Mathers, Waite or Crowley, but as collected in the 1700s by Jean-Baptiste Alliette, a Parisian fortune-teller otherwise known as Etteilla. In addition to detailed descriptions of the cards’ symbolism and significance—with both regular and reversed meanings—Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot provides meticulous full color reproductions of Huson’s original designs for all 79 cards, including an extra Significator card as specified by Etteilla that may be used optionally. Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot also provides full instructions for how to lay out the cards for divination.

Dame Fortune's Wheel Tarot

This concise history of each card from it's earliest conception is very informative, giving the Diviner a stable, well grounded understanding of the tarot. The many card sets on the market sometimes have slightly different definitions, per card. This little book gives a well rounded clarity, whether it's used as a basis for the reading or a great history lesson on the first tarot decks. It's invaluable.
