Morven Westfield

Morven Westfield first became fascinated by the unseen and the world beyond in her childhood, delighting in superstitions and ghost stories. Later, tales of clairvoyance and accounts of ESP grabbed her attention. Her interests expanded again during the occult revival of the early 70s when she discovered the works of Sybil Leek, Paul Huson, and Stewart and Janet Farrar. At this time she also developed an interest in medicinal and magical herbs.

Contributing articles on folklore to the Witches’ Almanac since 2006, Morven also spends her time writing fiction. In her two-book series (Darksome Thirst and The Old Power Returns), vampires battle modern witches. Recently her short story “The Fortune Teller” was published in the anthology Snowbound with Zombies.
